The Association of African Universities, AAU in partnership Africa Digital Library Support Network, invites Directors of Research, Researchers, University Librarians, Library Assistants, and IT Staff of the Universities Libraries to the DATAD-R workshop to be held in Zanzibar from August 22 - 26, 2022.This DATAD-R workshop is for Librarians, Research Directors, Researchers and Library IT support staff, and other information and knowledge management professionals. The workshop is to strengthen the capacity of Universities to create a critical mass of E-content to support the core mandates of our HEIs but also help institutions to formulate policy to manage and disseminate the research output from their faculty and students widely for greater visibility and impact. Existing repositories will also have the opportunity to see new features in DSpace 7 with the possibility to also begin migration. Participants to share their experience and learn about new trends in electronic content management.
The registration fee is Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per participant for AAU members and $600 for non-members. The registration fee covers the cost of training, snacks, lunch and training material. Participants will cover their costs of air travel or transportation, accommodation and related allowances. Please register before August 25, 2022, to allow time for visa application processes if you need travel visa to get to Zanzibar.
